PORTRAIT - GALLERY TWO (EARLY OILGRAPHS)
1994 - 1999

In 1994 I developed a technique called "oilgraphing" which blends a traditional photograph with oil color and other media. These are a selected group from that early period.

In 1996 while I was lecturing on the technique, a woman asked if I could come in and demonstrate it for the class. After a few days of trepidation I decided that the worst thing that could happen was that I make an unsuccessful piece. That first "performance" was the work THE HUNTED. That afternoon changed the way I approached the art and from then on the performance pieces are now a regular part of my work.
