Kevin Rolly's Last Supper photographed with all developmentally disabled adults from the Peppermint Ridge facility in Corona.
It took over a year to get all of the permissions from the families of the residents and he had only 15 minutes for the shoot. When Kevissimo's main camera died on the first shot, he was forced to photograph everyone with my plastic Holga toy camera. He didn't think this was going to work at all.
But t was all there....It was spread out over 60 frames but it was all there. Every image was printed at least three times to ensure the scale between the subjects was proportional.
But Kevin was running out of time to complete to painting, so he decided to paint the entire thing live. The final painting was done on Good Friday in three one hour acts at SMASHLABS in Los Angeles April 2nd 2010. No single work has challenged or pushed Kevin further - artistically or spiritually.
