God had called Gideon to fight off the Midianites, promising him victory - But Gideon wasn’t so sure. Despite God’s promise of victory, Gideon tested God by asking him to make a dry fleece wet with dew as a confirmation, which is exactly what God did. If Gideon doesn’t look all that happy, that was intentional.

Gideon is played by Chris Hackett who starred in Stuck With Hackett among many other shows. I met him at a party and thought he would make the perfect Gideon
