The Sword of Ehud

The Sword of Ehud

from $25.00

Oilgraph on wooden panel // 33” x 33”

Thrusting the blade clean through King Eglon, Ehud delivers his people from oppressive rule. This assassination is one of the most graphic depictions in all of scripture. For Kevissimo, this scene was shot twice.  Upon realizing that the costumes and props failed to meet his unfolding vision, he brought back two of his actors. Costumes were then designed by Amanda Bear. Master swordsmith Scott Roush volunteered to recreate the sword based upon the descriptions in the text.

Painted live on April 1, 2011.
